It’s amazing the difference one year can make.
In winter 2017 we voted to purchase a 125-year-old church building in the heart of downtown Hamilton, Ontario. It was in really rough shape. We began fundraising with the hope that, once restored, it could continue to be a place of worship for another hundred years.
What’s happened so far? Watch the video above to see.
We’re now entering phase 2 of the fundraising project, hoping to weather proof the building by fixing the doors, windows, and the last set of stained glass. The total cost for these three areas is around $100,000. We’re fundraising in three parts:
First up we are aiming to raise $30,000 to replace the doors on the front and side of the building. They are currently drafty, literally falling apart, and letting in lots of mice!
Doors Fundraised Amount: $500/30,000
Please note that Canada Helps does take a small percentage of the donation, so if it's a larger, consider giving via cheque or money transfer.
If you would like to give monthly towards the building project, email email@example.com and our finance team will help you set it up.
Cheques can be made out to "Eucharist Church of Hamilton" with the memo: Building. They can be dropped off on Sunday, or mailed to:
