As God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; teach and admonish one another in all wisdom; and with gratitude in your hearts sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God.
And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
We meet every Sunday, at our building (130 Victoria Ave N, Hamilton, Ontario)
at 3pm for coffee/tea/snacks and 3:30 for liturgy.
Imagine getting together with a group of people to sing, learn, eat, and talk in real time.
That’s right; friendship and community that’s not on the internet. Weird.
It all sounds so crazy, but we think that seeing people in real life is important: that’s why Sunday matters. Every Sunday we gather together to learn more about God, ourselves, and the world - there’s no way to digitally capture what happens when we meet God communally; you just have to experience it. When it’s over, it’s over. A beginning and an end - how revolutionary!
Since we are the church, we know that “church” never ends, but we think that something powerful happens when we gather together once a week to celebrate what God has done, and is doing, in this city. That’s what Sunday is all about.
Wherever you are in your faith journey (or life journey), please feel free to come and check out what is going on.
Sunday gatherings start at 3pm, with tea, coffee (and snacks if you’re lucky)!
At 3:30 we start our service, and dismiss our kids program after the first part of the liturgy.
