The Pastor of Systems and Structures exists to equip teams and leaders within Eucharist to work effectively together and in sync with one another.

We are looking for someone to equip the church to be the church through systems, structure, and organizational leadership. 

The ideal candidate would have the mind of a leader, the heart of a pastor, and the organizational skills of a wedding planner (but without the drama). The applicant must be a committed follower of Jesus, have a love for God and a desire to see his Kingdom Come both in the life of our congregation and in the life of our city. 

The pastor would work directly with our existing pastor, whose focus is on Culture and Vision (CV Pastor), as well as Stream Leaders, who oversee various ministries.

The following responsibilities will fall under this role:

Church Life & Mission Organizer

Resourcing stream leaders and CV Pastor in overseeing missional projects and special events throughout the year and bringing in congregants as appropriate

Strategy and Goal Setting

Take the lead in setting strategic goals and implementing structures to regularly track them in partnership with CV Pastor & Elders Board


Create and implement intentional communication plan and delegating as necessary (ie) social media, Sunday announcements, bulletin, etc. Aid in maintaining communication with partners (rental relationship, denomination, etc)

Policy, Procedures & Role Descriptions

Take the lead in being knowledgeable and aware of appropriate policies and procedures, and ensure follow through in collaboration with stream leaders

Congregant Coordinator

Create and implement systems to discover and develop gifts of congregants, and work with Stream Leaders to find servants to fill various roles

Short Term Pastoral Care

Meeting with congregants as pastor, and equipping others in the congregation to follow through with longer term care

Preaching may be a component, depending on applicant and particular gifting


Salary and Work Hours

32 hours per week: 3 days per week + Sundays: some flexibility.
$30000 - $33000 + pension and benefits negotiable upon hire.


Post-Secondary education in a related field preferred (Human Resources, Theology, Community Development, Social Work, etc.), Graduate Studies an asset.

Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in organizational leadership.
